Who does what at an ABS firm.
Most law firms in the U.S. must be owned by lawyers. Arizona is one of very few states that license another model, the Alternative Business Structure.
It changes who owns the firm and who does each task. It does not change who gives you legal advice. That is always a licensed attorney.

Irma Davenport founded and owns the firm, and she speaks Spanish. She is not a lawyer. She runs the business and guides client care.
The attorneys
Licensed attorneys oversee all legal work and give the legal advice on your matter. Each one practices with their own law firm, named on the team page.
The paralegals
Skilled paralegals handle more of the day-to-day work, with an attorney checking it. That is a big part of why our prices stay fair.

Licensed since 2003. She studied law at Tulane and earned a Master of Laws in Taxation at NYU. She works on estate plans, trusts, probate, and tax.

Nearly two decades of practice, from family law to simple wills and basic revocable trusts.
Brenda Echevarria, Attorney at Law
Admitted in Arizona, Texas, and Massachusetts, and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator. She handles personal injury cases.
